Description
cRGD Surface Chemistry Biochips are functionalized with RGD-peptides, the fibronectin minimum binding motif, a receptor for several integrins including αVß3, α5ß1, and αIIbß3, thereby permitting integrin-mediated cellular adhesion to the substrate. Self-assembled monolayer surface chemistry stochastically functionalizes the surface to provide cRGD molecule in specific ratios to functionally inert molecules, resulting in available ligand spacing at known mean distances (see above).
Nanocrine Surface Chemistry Biochips provide a standardized and customizable test platform for assessing the influence of nearby molecular density and gradients on cell adhesion, viability and morphology. The biochips allow real-time monitoring of cells over a range of very specific chemical environments and amplify cellular phenotypes by manipulating ligand availability for cellular adhesion — adding an additional layer of complexity to experiments and permitting observance of cellular perturbations.
Each slide contains four functionalized surfaces, provided sterile, in a sealed hypoxic container with desiccant and oxygen absorber.

Key Features:
Ready to use – Nanocrine surface chemistry biochips are single-use, sterile surfaces that represent a new generation of precision in live cell imaging experiments.
Atomically-smooth – We employ proprietary, nano-lithographic processes that provide atomically-smooth and chemically modified surfaces to define cell behavior.
Precise and validated ligand spacing – Our manufacturing process provides highly precise lot-validation of ligand density removing ambiguity in experimental findings.
